Overview
The quieter, greener side of the island — and my personal favourite. Diamond Beach with its white limestone pillars is every bit as striking as Kelingking but sees a fraction of the visitors. Good for travellers who have already done the west, or who simply prefer space to breathe.
Pick-up from your hotel, then on to Sanur harbour.
30–45 minutes across the strait.
A sweeping cliff-edge panorama over the eastern coastline.
The little wooden house on the cliff — one of the most photographed spots in Indonesia.
White cliffs, pale sand and impossibly blue water. The carved stairway down is optional.
A sheltered bay next door, with simple warungs above it.
Boat back to Sanur and a drive to your hotel.
