Overview
This is the day for big views. We climb gently into the highlands until Mount Batur and its crater lake open up in front of you — one of the most breathtaking panoramas in Bali, best enjoyed over a slow lunch. On the way we stop at a family coffee plantation to taste Balinese coffee and cocoa straight from the source, and cool off at a hidden waterfall away from the crowds.
We leave early to reach the highlands before the afternoon clouds arrive.
Taste Balinese coffee, cocoa and herbal teas at a family-run plantation, and see how they are grown.
The classic Kintamani viewpoint — the volcano, the black lava fields and Lake Batur laid out below.
A relaxed buffet or à-la-carte lunch with the crater in full view.
A short walk to a quieter waterfall where you can swim or simply cool down.
Home before dark, with the mountain air still with you.
